Portugal as a space for exchange and learning on respectful childbirth and birth care

In June 2024, IPOV – Respectful Care carried out a series of meetings, institutional visits, and professional exchanges in Portugal focused on respectful childbirth and perinatal care. Through secondments involving Serena Brigidi, Ema Schuler, and Maria Fernanda Gonzalez, the project strengthened international collaboration with hospitals, universities, and professionals committed to more humane, ethical, and evidence-informed maternity care.
