We are grateful for the opportunity to make a submission regarding the mistreatment and violence against women during reproductive health care and facility-based childbirth in Finland. The following report is based on personal narratives shared by Finnish women in May 2019 during the campaign "Minä Myös Synnyttäjänä - Me Too during Childbirth." The report focuses on pregnancy and birth-related care. There is no official data collected on violence or mistreatment of women during pregnancy and childbirth in Finland, and the subject is for the most part completely ignored in official statements.
