We would like to express our most sincere gratitude for giving us the opportunity to be part of the 36th edition of Graffica, Designing to transform society. It is a true honor that our article “Social design needs you” has found a space in a publication that not only invites reflection, but also challenges us to rethink design as a tool for real change. This issue inspires us to see design as an engine capable of transforming the way we live, relate to each other, and imagine more just and sustainable futures.
In our article, we share an excerpt that summarizes part of our commitment to social design and its impact on society:

“With this approach of connecting different sensitivities, from Social Design we are leading the international project IPOV Respectful Care (funded by the European Union Programme HORIZON-MSCA-2022-Staff Exchange), a multidisciplinary platform created for the prevention of obstetric violence and respectful care for maternity and childbirth. Here, we work on the implementation of concrete solutions that act as a bridge between academic research, public policy, health professional training, women’s perspectives and public engagement in this area. The power of our narratives? How to integrate collectives with diverse interests within a common frame of mind.”
