Julieta Saulo is a woman, a mother, and a feminist. She holds a degree in Civil Society Organization Management and has a professional background in communication and advertising. Following the birth of her first daughter, she pursued training as a social psychologist, breastfeeding counselor, and doula.
She is the founder of Las Casildas, a civil society organization, and was the coordinator of Argentina’s first Observatory on Obstetric Violence (OVO). She currently leads the Breastfeeding Services Department at the Argentine Civil Association for Breastfeeding Support (ACADP). In addition, she regularly offers training sessions and lectures on respectful childbirth and obstetric violence.
Saulo is the author of Bien que te gustó, a manifesto for insubordinate births, published by Penguin Random House and officially recognized by the Buenos Aires City Legislature for its contribution to the communication, promotion, and defense of human rights.
She was also responsible for the content direction of Parir, the first Argentine documentary on respectful childbirth and obstetric violence, directed by Florencia Mujica.
At present, she coordinates Alianza Perinatal, her own interdisciplinary team of professionals dedicated to supporting experiences of pregnancy, postpartum, breastfeeding, and diverse forms of motherhood and parenthood. She also mentors professionals working in the perinatal field.
