IPOV Official Project Meetings
Upcoming Consortium Meetings
THIRD
Virtual Meeting
On 16 January 2026, from 15:00 to 19:00, the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV, Tarragona) will host the Third Consortium Meeting of the European project IPOV – RESPECTFUL CARE.
During the meeting at URV, partners will present the results from the first two years, set priorities for the next period, and strengthen coordination between European and Latin American partners.
As the consortium’s third major governance meeting, it serves as an internal working session where partner institutions review scientific and technical progress across the work packages, assess staff exchanges, analyse risks and ethical issues, and plan the next phases of research, training, communication and dissemination.

FIRST
Virtual Meeting
On 23 October 2024, we will hold the First Virtual Meeting of the IPOV-RESPECTFUL CARE Consortium, organised by the University of Udine.
This event will bring together 19 institutions from six European and three Latin American countries, all collaborating in a joint effort to study and prevent obstetric violence, as well as the over-medicalisation of childbirth – a public health issue recognised by the WHO.
MIDTERM
In-person + Virtual Meeting
The event, held at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili (URV), brought together researchers, healthcare professionals, civil society actors and policy experts from Europe and Latin America to assess the progress of IPOV and chart a shared path forward for the second half of the project.
The event will feature presentations on the main work packages, training sessions, knowledge exchange activities, participatory workshops, and a dedicated session with representatives from the European Commission’s Research Executive Agency (REA), which oversees the Marie Skłodowska-Curie programme.
