From March 14th to April 12th,I was hosted by the University of Granada, where I was received by Professor Ester Másso Guijarro (Departamen of Philosophy I). Professor Másso Guijarro is a philosopher and anthropologist with expertise in maternal breastfeeding and human rights in childbirth.
Together with Ester, I developed a comprehensive work plan that provided numerous opportunities for knowledge transfer and exchange, as well as mutual learning. I was also able to meet with the Andalusian Public Health Association, the Andalusian Midwives Association, and a Granada-based lawyer specializing in women’s defense.
I traveled to Córdoba and Málaga to research motherhood in the cultural diversity of Andalusia.
I visited the San Cecilio Maternity Hospital and was received by midwives and the Head of Obstetrics, with whom I later had a wonderful exchange.

IPOV Respectful Care · TRAINING
“Reflective Practices” was an internal training activity aimed at the members of the IPOV consortium, involved in learning innovative tools to rethink clinical practice and promote a more respectful relationship with birthing women. The training took place during the stay of researcher Silvina Garcia Conto (Hospital S. Isidro, Buenos Aires) at the University of Granada.
